April 12 – 15, 2021, Chicago
Time might slowly be passing by now, but coming out of the COVID-19 shock it will be here in the blink of an eye.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE BIGGEST OPPORTUNITY OF 2021?
How many Business Development opportunities have you identified?
Your company offers a unique, high-quality product or service. You’re already getting some traction from your marketing efforts. But is your company the most well-known in your industry?
Intentional business development in tandem with your sales marketing team is the key to achieving optimal results from your efforts.
One of the things you should start thinking about is using technology to enhance the human interactions that you have at these events, because what I have uncovered over the past few years, is that people still want to connect with people, but we can enhance the interaction by using other technologies.
What is the difference between marketing, business development, and sales? I would argue a lot of people think they’re the same, I would also argue that they are NOT! A lot of businesses will put sales and marketing together, when in reality they’re conflicts of interest. Marketing casts a wide net or shines a spotlight, and Sales is really trying to focus with a laser beam on getting new business and Business Development lands somewhere in-between those two.
Finding your target
Do you really know your target audience? You may want to ask yourself; What problems does my company’s product or service solve? Who are my current customers, What do customers stand to gain from choosing us (instead of a competitor)? So let’s hit the target together!
Some said a few years ago when technology was screaming, that Tradeshow and Conference business would go down, but I’m finding that people are seeing more attendance and more people at the shows and I think it’s because we want to get back together. I think at some point in time you really do need to see someone and create a relationship. I’m just wondering your doing about that?
Reputation, Trust & Credibility
Reputation – it’s one of those topics that you think you know what it is, but you’re really not sure what it means or how to quantify it. Before anybody wants to do business with you, they want to know they can trust you, and that you have a good reputation. How are you taking advantage of technology to create a better reputation in the Supply Chain space?
